She is stubborn and strong-willed like her homeland, Sardinia. Adelaide Carta began her career in the fashion world with a line of luxury scarves in organic materials. She achieved immediate success, so much so that she decided to devote herself to leather goods. Collection after collection the models become more and more fanciful and elaborate. Her stylistic research goes hand in hand with attention to the environment.
In her hands cork and plant tissues end up resembling exotic skins. In June 2018 Adelaide was selected for SHOWCASE, the event created by ICE Agenzia and Altaroma to give visibility to young fashion talents. In the same year she was invited to participate in the Helsinki Fashion Week, the first week entirely dedicated to eco-sustainable and animal-friendly fashion. Today her bags are certified PETA and LAV, to witness her commitment in favor of nature and the environment.
Alef luxury bags
They do not go unnoticed. After all, how could they? Fluorescent colors and sinuous shapes are the hallmark of Alef’s bags. The luxury brand is confirmed as one of the most interesting players in the fashion system. The colors palette ranges from pineapple yellow to intense fuchsia, with touches of neon green, bright red and orange.
A collection perfectly aligned with the trends for the SS2019. However there is to be sure that this fashionable “rainbow effect” will last for a long time. The combinations of colors and fine workmanship, like the triple steps of the skins that create iridescent effects, give us a technicolor dream.
Her name is Annalisa Caricato, from Bari but a citizen of the world. After graduating in industrial design, at I.S.I.A. of Rome, she has collected collaborations with brands such as Tod’s, Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino, until she became Creative Director for Guess Europe. After a nomadic life, she took root in Switzerland, where she lives with her husband and their two beautiful children.
AnnalisaCaricato is her first project as an independent designer, a collection of women’s bags produced in Italy. The alpine landscapes of the canton of Neuchâtel, where she lives with her family, are her inspiration. Annalisa admits to look at the world through the eyes of a child and to bring joy and color into her creations.
You never get tired of beautiful things. This is the case for the models in the Lignum Bags collection, designed by Wietske Neerincx. Born in the Netherlands, Wietske began her career in fashion as a child, when after school she designed and sewed clothes and accessories for her dolls. Graduated in Industrial Design, she brought her love for essential and ergonomic shapes in bags, handcrafted in Italy. Her talent earned her the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, awarded since 1955 to the best design objects.
Her passion for fashion pushed her to experiment with innovative solutions and to specialize in the field of leather processing and goldsmith’s. One of her bags is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Bags and Purses in Amsterdam. Wietske says she wants to give women elegance and simplicity, creating beautiful but functional bags.
It is one of the coolest bag brands. Salar Milano was born in 2010, when Salar and Francesca decided to put together their talents to create a line of women’s bags and shoes over the top. Recognized by Vogue Italia as one of the best emerging brands, Salar Milano has built a precise identity over time. More than bags, those of the brand are design objects. Fine leathers, unusual color combinations and a rock touch make each piece unique and impactful.
Salar and Francesca often play on contrasts, not only combining different materials, but also using antithetical forms. It is not uncommon to see corners and curved lines in the same bag balancing in harmony. The references to architecture are one of the characteristics of the brand, along with references to the musical world and wild nature. Their woman is a modern city woman, rocker-like enough but with an ultra-feminine soul.
